Leading Researcher IECS Dr.sc.comp. Ints Mednieks

I.Mednieks is with IECS starting from 1980 as an engineer. At the beginning, he was mainly involved in R&D projects related with pseudorandomized DSP and DASP technology. His current research activities are concentrated on image processing and remote sensing. Dr.sc.ing. (1988), Dr..sc.comp. (1992). Author of more than 50 publications. He has participated in multiple European research projects, has been a manager of the IECS team in successful FP6 project MODULINSPEX and FP7 project CHIPCHECK as well as several national projects. At present he is a manager of project No.4 “Development of technologies for secure and reliable smart-city” of the National Research Programme „Cyber-physical systems, ontologies and biophotonics for safe&smart city and society” (SOPHIS).
