Senior Researcher, director of IECS
Modris Greitans is Leading researcher and scientific director of Institute of Electronics and Computer Science. He has been working in IECS from 1990 and was was director of IECS for 8 years (2007-2015). PhD on non-uniformly sampled signal reconstruction. He has been involved and has led a various scientific projects and now he is main leader of National Research Programme „Cyber-physical systems, ontologies and biophotonics for safe&smart city and society.” Author of more than 80 scientific publications and 7 patents. Co-author of the European IT Prize’97 winner “DASP-Lab System”.
Interests on advanced digital signal processing, signal-dependent techniques, signal-driven A/D conversion, processing of non-uniformly sampled signals, time-frequency analysis of non-stationary signals, application of signal processing methods in biometry, WSN, SDR, UWB systems etc.
